Disliked: Staff not attentive at all. Clearly being run on a shoe string. Got to the hotel approx 7pm and waited nearly 10 mins with my bags at the front desk with the receptionist running around like a headless chicken helping in the bar and restaurant. Came in to the front entrance room and just said, checking in. No apology for how long i was stood there, no how was your travel, or what im visiting for. Just general chit chat to make a guest feel welcome. Even when i check out in the morning. Nobody at reception again for a good 5 mins. Again, clearly highlighting how understaffed the hotel is being run. The receptionist upon leaving was a little more friendly which was nice. Would not stay here again.

Our only regret was that...

Liked: Great location and traditional building. The staff were so very friendly and made us feel very welcome. In particular a big thanks to Elaine who served us an excellent breakfast and was a credit to the restaurant team

Lovely stay in a lovely...

Liked: This was our 4th stay in the Moorings. My Neice had her 21st birthday party here, hence this visit. When we arrived, we were checked in by a lovely girl and were upgraded to a lovely room 44 which we had stayed in before. Staff were nice and friendly and the room was lovely as was the Scottish breakfast and check out was quick and easy.
Disliked: Nothing.
