Enjoyed my stay, the staff...
Liked: My review is to help any lone or Vegan travellers. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights to visit family. The room was comfortable, it has WIFI, TV, fridge, Microwave etc. It was brilliant to have a fridge to store food items in. The heater did keep the room very warm but initially tricky to get it on and a little noisy. I used the gym which is ok and the swimming pool, a little chilly. The Best Western staff and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. However, their restaurant The Journey's Cuisine which is fairly modern with Fusion food, does not have any specified Vegan or Allergy options for their set Breakfast meals. When I looked at the menu it is tricky to see how they could accommodate on their breakfast. On their evening menu they have a salad wrap and offered to try and adapt their Veggie pasta by changing the sauce to make it Vegan. Unfortunately, I did not get time to try any of the restaurant food, but they have some side dishes i.e. plantain, chips but you would need to check if cooked in vegetable oil etc. A family member got me a Vegan Pizza from Pizza Nova and they had several options and likely cater for allergies to, I presume they might be able to deliver. The nearest convenience store is at the Esso garage which had a small number of options for the Vegan traveller I found some cookies, crisps, juice, humous and non-dairy milk. No fruit whatsoever or veggies etc so for a bigger food shop, then you need to go to Walmart. I did not have a car and so walked or used Uber cars to get around. I travelled to Downtown Milton and to the local Toronto shopping mall. There is a bus but told that these are only every 30 minutes and go around the houses - so I did not try this option. Whilst the Best Western hotel Milton is quite busy, I would only recommend this hotel for 1 or 2 nights.
Disliked: The Best Western's hotel highlights that the restaurant has options for Vegan/Allergies. This is one of the main reason for choosing this hotel because I am Vegan and that it has nearby amenities. However, the menu does not specify any suitable meals for Vegans. Whilst it is situated nearby some local cafes Star Bucks, Tim Horton's, fast food restaurants, Subway's, Wendy's etc and 2 convenience stores, accessible by foot. All of these restaurants and cafes do not have any Vegan food options or cater for allergies. I only ever managed to get hot drinks to use their WIFI. There was just a Mexican Grill bar who suggested having their Veggie wrap which can be made Vegan but unsure if there would be any cross contamination. To get to Walmart store you would need a car or take a taxi. This particular Best Western is far from ideal for the Vegan lone traveller.

Very good
Liked: Clean and location
Disliked: I was told to get 2 king rooms on same floor that id have to pay extra for 1 with a pull out couch as there was only 1 reg king room per floor. When arrived both rooms were identical. We then had a issue in the one room and we were located to across the hall to a king suite. I was thankful for the upgrade and not the extra charge but I find it hard that there is only 1 king per floor.
