Good for Short Stay

Liked: A lot of parking and breaking was good. The young lady working the evening I checked in was very friendly and accommodating.

Old, Run Down, False Advertising,...

Liked: Didn’t care for the property it was very old and run down. My experience was horrible. I was moving from Las Vegas NV to Ferndale WA, after my brother and I drove all day/night I had made reservations online with (2) indoor cats. There was only three properties to choose from see from so decided Best Western would be a great choice, they advertised as a pet friendly place with pet deposit upon arrival. No big deal. Once we arrived, the front desk representative said they only accept dogs and ponies no cats since the owner is allergic to cats. I was in complete shock. Repeating…. What? Did you just say dogs and ponies only!!! He said it’s not my rules it’s the owner and she cleans all the rooms herself. I requested a refund and was told nope, since I booked with a third party that wasn’t feasible. I requested the front desk boy to call the owner and he was reluctant, due to the time of night, after the second request with a more stern voice he called her. When I voiced my frustration to her and explained false advertising she reluctantly approved the night stay but insisted I keep my cats in a cage the entire night. She should hire a cleaning staff to clean the rooms if she is so allergic and certain animals or don’t advertise pet friendly when they’re not.
