Would strongly recommend this Hotel...

Liked: Staff very Welcoming.Nothing was too much trouble Unfortunately when using the toilet the flush handle fell off,we reported it to the front desk and the lady on reception kindly up graded us to a super king room.
Disliked: Very narrow country Lane and drive way to reach Hotel . Because of the time of year and we were late arriving it was dark.

Exceptional

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff, room was lovely and clean, comfortable bed

Superb

Liked: Warm and comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Worth travelling out of Exeter for the peaceful setting in the rolling Devon countryside.
Disliked: Only one beer ( they call it ale nowadays to differentiate from lager !) in the bar and it had reached the end of the barrell so couldn't have what I had been looking forward to after an afternoon's gardening.

Lovely from the outside, very...

Liked: The grounds were beautiful and the building was lovely.
Disliked: The room was described as having a view which translated as 'view over a very boring courtyard with a single tree visible in the distance on the skyline.

Liked: Ideal place to stop for the night on our way to visit family in Cornwall
Disliked: N/A

Liked: Excellent breakfasts, large room.
Disliked: No hot water for showers on 2nd morning which we were looking forward to as first morning shower was very good. When we reported this to reception on the way to breakfast she seemed totally disinterested and did not offer any apology simply saying that she'd report it to maintenance.
