Beachy Head's chalk cliffs are just 2 miles from the hotel. 1912 Seafood & Steak restaurant officially opened on 14th October 2022. Over the past few months we have transformed the space and the offering to be one of the go-to dining hotspots in Eastbourne. Open daily for breakfast lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and can be accessed through the hotel or its new street-side entrance. It is a large airy restaurant offering spectacular views over the sea and a gorgeous backdrop to any meal. The 1912 brand represents the Lansdowne's fascinating history. The hotel is currently in its 110th year of being owned and run by the same family now in its fourth generation. It is believed that the Lansdowne is one of only a handful of hotels in the UK that have been owned and run by the same family for over a century. Family is really important to us. Eastbourne Pier is a 10-minute walk away and the Royal Eastbourne golf club can be reached after a 5-minute drive. Eastbourne Rail Station and the town center are a 15-minute walk from the The Lansdowne Hotel BW Signature Collection by Best Western. All rooms are decorated and include a TV hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms have views across the sea and feature antique furniture. We have 98 well appointed bedrooms of which seven are double bedded executive rooms three are superior rooms and a Junior Suite all south facing. All executive superior and suite rooms are provided with bottled water and upgraded toiletries. We also have a number of family rooms available and can accommodate a family of four. Please note we have an ongoing refurbishment program. Recently refurbished rooms are subject to availability and not guaranteed when making your reservation.

Perfect for a one night...

Liked: Location perfect, friendly staff and good value
Disliked: Mattress could have been a bit less bouncy!

Liked: The location was good .
Disliked: I spent about 200 pounds in the restaurant. On the first night I was asked at point of payment to agree to a 10% service charge on the next night it was just put on the bill without asking .

Liked: Fantastic hotel, lovely staff, great location. 1912 restaurant was outstanding as was Rose the supervisor in the mornings for breakfast, nothing is too much trouble she’s amazing.

Enjoyed Eastbourne and location of...

Liked: Location perfect, breakfast was fine. Nice hotel.
Disliked: Very noisy bathroom extractor fan that came on every time the light switch was used. Using the toilet during the night woke each of us up.
