Lovely hotel in a good...

Liked: Helpful and friendly staff. Leisure facilities were great and the room was clean.
Disliked: The loud pipe noise that ran through the bedroom at night woke us up on several occasions.

This hotel needs sprucing up...

Liked: Not much. The rooms and general decor throughout were very aged and uninspiring.
Disliked: The bedroom was of a very poor standard for the amount I paid for it. I’ve stayed in much better B&B’s for less money.

Liked: It’s a lovely building full of character. Good pool as well
Disliked: It is expensive for what you get. Disappointed that the breakfast is £15 per head even if you only have a bacon sandwich

Liked: Pleasant , welcoming, swimming pool. Bus stop directly opposite into York. - otherwise 20 minute walk to city centre
Disliked: Arrived 9.45pm and Car park at back unlit and difficult to park and as a single woman felt unsafeSome ceiling tiles above swimming pool precariously balanced - made me nervous whilst swimming

Disliked: Decor stuck in the 1980s. Especially the bathroom, Shower in the bath notch good option for those of us getting a bit older. Needs modernising.
