Great location but let down...

Liked: Great location. Some of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Room clean. Parking available incentive of city which was great.
Disliked: Room was very cold - some staff not very responsive or helpful regarding request to turn up heat. Windows very draughty so difficult to keep warm. Water was available downstairs but would have been good to have some in room and told that there was some available.

A wonderful anniversary weekend

Liked: Wonderful location, the main square is around the corner, yet it was quiet at night. The breakfast was very very good: hot (sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes), and cold: 3 cakes, many pastries, cereals, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is spotless and well decorated. I loved the homey library feel with books everywhere. Comfortable beds and well-thought out bathroom.
Disliked: This was not something I could say I didn't like. However, I suggest that decaffeinated coffee be available alongside the caffeinaged coffee machines in the breakfast area. I have heart palpitations with caffeinated coffee and I had to go to the front desk for my coffee. I drink 3 mugs every morning so this meant I had to disturb the front desk person so that they could make my coffee. I do appreciate that they don't provide instant coffee (a terrible invention). So the coffee is freshly brewed but taking care of my coffee addiction was a little awkward.

A relaxing stay in a...

Liked: Staff were very helpful and friendly, before and during our stay. The hotel is in a restricted area, but the staff gave us perfect instructions for getting through traffic barriers without any stress. The room was comfortable. The hotel is really well located for exploring the historic centre of Rouen with plenty of restaurants nearby, but was peaceful nonetheless. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. For us it was a perfect overnight stop on the way to the channel ferry.
Disliked: We note that other guests have commented on the parking. It is not clear from the description that access to the garage is via a vehicle lift. Luckily we have a small car so manoeuvring was not too difficult. Furnishings and fittings are beginning to look a little tired - it was not possible to close the curtains in our room, for example.

Liked: Brilliant location and we had no trouble finding hotel, even though it is in the pedestrianised area of city.Dog friendly and a perfect stopover. Will definitely stay again.
