Comfortable bed, yummy biscuits

Liked: We just needed a place to stay for the night. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Try the biscuits. They're the bomb! The breakfast associate was very friendly and personable.
Disliked: We told the man at the front desk when we checked in that it was our daughter's birthday. He did not say happy birthday. He just said "oh". Lacking customer service skills. The hotel had a weird smell when we walked in. But our room smelled fine.

Disliked: It sucked!! 30 pound limit dog policy not stated at booking. I booked 45+ days in advance but on arrival, first told the did not have my booking, then told my payment was declined (I paid at booking and already paid through my credit card!!), then asked how much my dog weighed. I said I didn’t know; maybe around 50 pound. They said dog had to be under 30 pounds. Would not make ANY exception. We stay at this location the prior year with same dog and had no problem whatsoever!! Said new owner and no exception!! I hope my complaint goes to Best Western corporate!!! Told I had to get my refund through Booking. Com. They provided me their number of which was incorrect!! Took 45 minutes to get refund through Booking.com. The service with Booking.com was a good experience. The part that I found inexcusable with Best Western was that the pet weight restriction not stated at time of booking!! I would have never made the booking in the first place had I known! Never again will I book with Best Western!!!
