Disliked: My deposit was kept for a bath towel mat. Staff living in the hotel. cold bland food for breakfast. Fitness center treadmill didn't work. very small room doesn't looked used.

Stopped through to visit friends....

Liked: The location was why we chose this motel. Clean and well lighted parking. Nice, comfortable room and bed.The breakfast was very good, sausage, over hard eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels,toast, fruit, yogurt, etc.
Disliked: Really nothing. Was pleased with our selection 😄

Liked: nice size room.
Disliked: I went to the first room and it was not clean. I went back to the front desk to tell the clerk. She never apologized. She then sent me to another room. The bathroom walls also had mold on them and the toilet kept stopping up.

Disliked: 1st, So I paid with afterpay. The front desk charged my bank account the whole amount of the room, which was 372 for 2 days. Had I not caught it, it would've been a double charge. 1 to my bank account and still having to pay afterpay. The front desk was nice about it and apologized, but I caught it they didn't. Which shows they don't pay attention so you better when your checking in. 2nd, housekeeping Omg. So they came about 11a or 12p and we were sleeping so I told them to come back. When we got up to leave for a little while, I asked if housekeeping can give us fresh towels and clean bed sheets. Well, housekeeping told the front desk that we had a do not disturb sign on the door and they were not gonna do it. There was no do not disturb sign on the door. I never touched the sign, so that made me upset. If I'm paying almost 400 bucks for 2 nights you mean to tell me you can't come back when we're up, so ok, whatever. I got towels and new sheets from the front desk and changed the sheets myself. Not MY job, but no problem. What truly pissed me off was this. I had to go and buy slippers because the floors were filthy. Now, at first glance, the room looks presentable. I took a bathroom towel, and you know how when u get out of the shower, you lay down the towel so the floor doesn't get wet. Well, I said I bet this floor is not clean because before I bought the slippers from Walmart around the corner, I noticed my CLEAN socks were dirty from walking on the floor. I took the towel and wiped the floor from the water that did get on the floor from the shower and the bathroom floor was filthy. I was so mad about that. So at checkout THE FRONT DESK SAID TO ME we found a dirty bath towel. WTF? Seriously, you all are telling me about a dirty bath towel like they wanted to charge me for it. I told her listen YOU ALL NEED TO MOP YOUR FLOORS. THATS WHY YOUR TowEL was dirty BECAUSE YOUR STAFF does NOT CLEAN the floors.

Liked: The only reason I gave 9 stars instead of 10, is because there was no elevator. The hotel was very clean and remodeled. My spouse and I went for a brothers wedding and this location was close to everything we needed to do. The only down side is there is no elevator, and our room was on the 2nd floor. All in all great stay, very friendly and helpful staff, clean room no complaints from us. The hotel is located right behind McDonald's restaurant so it was easy for us to find during the day and night because of this landmark. Bonus, we loved the walk in shower and the water pressure was the best we have ever had staying in a hotel. If we are every in the area again we will definitely be staying at Best Western Crossroads Inn Schererville, IN.
