My stay in Duncan was...

Liked: Breakfast was okay. The location was good for me.
Disliked: The bathroom's condition was unacceptable (Rm. 105). There were several paint chips on the ceiling and mildew in the caulking around the shower pan. For this reason, I did not use the shower. Upon my departure, I brought these issues up with the manager and commented that this was not a $200.00 per day room! I received a "Comp Room Rev-Adj" of $50.00 after taxes, which netted me a $20.00 reduction on my total bill. An adjustment (comp) should have been applied to the room rate before taxes, not after. Ultimately, the compensation needed to be more adequate. Also, the cleaning staff would have been aware of these apparent issues; they did not spontaneously manifest just before my arrival. These routine maintenance issues could have been and should have been addressed long before I checked in.

The cost of the room...

Liked: Breakfast was awful. The bar, the bar food and the bar staff were awesome.
Disliked: Checkin staff were grumpy and not present to deal with. They did not engage when saying good morning to them. Room was ok, but nothing to rave about and the room cleanliness was ok.

Beautiful and clean rooms, Just...

Liked: The rooms were cleaned well and there was no musky smell. The bed was large and comfortable. I loved the option of having a restaurant downstairs, it was so convenient.
Disliked: I called the front desk over 10 times during my stay and they did not pick up any of my calls. There really needs to be some sort of customer service standard set for the reception. It was terrible! I had a baby and had to go down every-time I had a simple question or needed extra stuff like a kettle or blankets. The breakfast station could be better honestly. Again, I have to emphasize on the reception really disappointing as it is the point of contact for guests. They are friendly but there is more to the job than just being nice.I asked the girl a question about late checkout she said she would ask her manager and call me to tell me then i had to come back down after 2 hours and ask the same question and got the answer within a few minutes. But i had waited 2 hours before then.
