The Best Western Citadelle is located in the historic city center of Besançon a 5-minute walk from the Doubs River and the Citadelle. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. The air-conditioned rooms feature a television with Canal channels. The private bathroom is equipped with solar-heated water. Additionally the establishment offers rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility. The hotel serves breakfast every morning for an additional fee. You can enjoy it in your room or as a buffet in the dining room. Room service is also available. The small parking area which includes 10 spaces is only accessible by reservation for a supplementary fee of 15 EUR per space. An electric charging station is available on request and subject to availability at a rate of €25. Please note that our parking area is only suitable for standard-sized vehicles (a small courtyard in the city center). The establishment is 3.1 mi from the Micropolis convention center. You will be accommodated in one of our 41 rooms located across various buildings as follows: • The Main Building with elevator access where we have 21 rooms. • The Annex also in the main building without elevator access. • The Hotel Pavilion where we have 9 rooms without an elevator. • The Workshop with 2 spacious rooms specially adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Cosy place if you manage...

Liked: - luxurious feeling- great breakfast with freshly made pastries- nice decorations- in city center- nice staff
Disliked: The biggest drawback is the parking. They have a small yard for a handful of cars, but it was packed by the time I arrived. Apparently you have to book the parking in advance, but it’s not specified at all throughout the room booking process.At that time of the day, in the city center, the only available parking is 8 minutes away on foot. Simply too much hassle for the weary traveler.Also a bit noisy because of the old wooden floors, can hear everyone’s steps.

Excellent choice for the money...

Liked: Excellent place close to the city centre and just below the famous citadelle. Original and very nice look of the rooms and hotel corridors.

Not very happy

Liked: We arrived 8pm , staff told us not good provided and told us where is the restaurants but it was a wrong suggestion, not one of restaurants open , we were walking around city in the cold weather . When we bakc to the Hotel , the staff told us they have hot food to provide, 17Euro each , but the food was terrible, can not believe it we’re France food.
