Disappointed as not the standard...

Liked: Breakfast was nice. Good variety of food , although the eggs were over cooked and the bacon was only warm
Disliked: Bed was comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful.Bedroom ceiling had large stained damp patch. Bathroom door handle stuck. Bathroom sink did not hold water it just drained away. Toilet was too close to the wall and uncomfortable low.

Worth the money but room...

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful.Vegetarian sausages were available on request (they were great quality too).The buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty to eat.The room was spacious and clean.The hotel was very quiet at night.The first impressions of the hotel were great - the drive in, the hotel from the outside and the downstairs were beautiful.Having a fan in the room was very much appreciated as the room was very hot.The shower was easy to operate and was powerful and hot - not sure why there were two shower heads though.Parking was plentiful, although parking directly outside the hotel wasn't always possible, but the overflow car parks were only a short walk away.Overall the price we paid was worth it and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff.
Disliked: After first impressions - the drive in, the hotel from the outside and the downstairs - the room was a bit of a let down, especially as I'd paid for a superior room. It was very spacious but the decor was a bit dull.Many hotels now have smart TVs so it was disappointing this one didn't.The room was VERY hot, even with windows open. If there hadn't been a fan it would have been very uncomfortable. The windows had to be closed in the early hours as staff/deliveries could be heard (our room overlooked the back of the hotel).A fridge would have been good to keep snacks and drinks in, particularly as the room was so hot. There was plenty of space for one.Not sure if there was a fault with our room door handle but it was VERY difficult to open (Room 7). The handle was very stiff when locked and it really was tricky to open (it took several attempts but did make for an amusing video!). We would have mentioned it to staff when we checked out but no-one was available.
