Superb

Our visit was too short...

Liked: Owing to the late hour of arrival, the hotel made a good stopover on our return from Santander via the ferry to Portsmouth. The building and grounds are beautiful. The room was exceptional. Breakfast was buffet style with a fine choice of food. The staff were friendly. We would definitely return on future trips.

Disliked: No elevators had to drag 2 large cases up 3 flights of stairs

Liked: Ground floor room with easy access to garden.Good food - breakfast, bar and restaurantWelcoming and friendly staff - especially Roberta and Elenor.

Ideal base whilst I needed...

Liked: Location - close access to Southampton, but a bit more rural.Garden - ideal for dog to exercise that extends to nature reserve and golf courseExcellet food - consistently good breakfast, bar and resturant.Most of all, the staff - especially Roberta and Helena that were very kind indeed.
Disliked: Shower rail that holds head very wobbling and frightened it was going to fall off - which it didn't (whilst I was there anyway!)

A comfortable chain hotel, made...

Liked: The staff went above and beyond especially Roberta and Helena who were so very kind.The food was consistently good - breakfast, bar and restaurant.Ground floor with easy accept to garden - ideal for dogs.Great spa to relax.Nice clean rooms.
Disliked: The shower head holder rail was very wobbling and I was concerned that it was going to fall off (but it didn't).
