Tired property. Staff were excellent...
Disliked: We were informed that they were closing down and we therefore had to cancel a future booking.

Liked: The Hotel is closing down on 12th February. The staff were demoralised, everything (unsurprisingly) was in short supply. We couldn't eat or drink there. If we hadn't needed somewhere to sleep, we'd have driven 4hrs home again. We had to go and find a local Restaurant for our evening meal!! Not ideal after a 4hr drive and a stressful afternoon. I purposely booked this hotel as it had a pool and spa, somewhere nice for my wife to relax. Guess what... it was closed!! We book an awful lot of breaks through booking.com. I am cancelling all my pending bookings forthwith. You actually have the affrontery to ask how our stay was?? Do you ever check the places you promote/advertise? I know I won't get a response from you. One ex loyal customer.

Coach tour standard but not...
Liked: Drinks in the bar area
Disliked: Room was disappointing - we were allocated what appeared to be a disabled room with wet room as a bathroom. Window looked directly onto the parking area at ground level. Weren't aware of the black-out curtains until the next morning. Bed was a saggy, bouncy metal framed double, and not a proper divan with semi decent mattress as we expected.Considering we stayed the following night at a Best Western Plus in Retford, Notts for a few £'s less, the 2 locations were chalk & cheese in comparison. Driffield sadly did not offer value for money.
