Very good

Liked: The room was lovely except for lots of stains on the carpets from previous guests. Great location, lovely staff, nice place all in. Very handy to leave car there and wander into town
Disliked: Stains on carpets and builders noise in the morning. They had warned us beforehand.

Comfortable but needs small improvements.

Liked: The reception staff were very welcoming and the reception area, lift etc were all well decorated, & clean. Our room was large and well appointed with large TV, , nice big towels, dressing table (with light); good comfy bed and even small cupboard to store our luggage. Nice double wardrobe with iron and board & hairdryer. Good size bathroom with toiletries, nice big towels, bath & shower.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the room wasn't very warm and no matter how we altered room thermostat, the system only seemed to blow out cold air. It was warmer to turn it off completely. Although the days were mild during our stay, the mornings and nights were very cold and frosty. Luckily I had packed a large shawl which I wrapped around me whilst in the room and my husband wore his thickest jumper. In fairness, staff did come to look at it twice but nothing improved.We were warned before arrival that the restaurant was closed but bar food was available. Sadly, on the Sunday night this was a bit of a disaster - the hotel appeared to be very short staffed and the kitchen ran out of any potato dishes - chips/saute/mash. Food also took interminable time to arrive, however, after complaining, we were given free drinks and we have to say that the 2 members of staff were doing their best to cope.

Disliked: We only had one towel in our room (which was a double) and the shower was not very good.

Liked: Very interesting location, the entryway reminded me of driving into a cemetery. Available breakfast smelled good, and the hotel was well taken care of.My wife said is was the "nicest Best Western she has ever stayed in!

Liked: Room was a nice size. Clean apart from tea splashes on carpet. Bed was comfey Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Bath was small. Curtain did not draw fully across and just hung there. One blind did not fully shut. Bath was very small.
