A brilliant base to explore...

Disliked: The room design could be improved upon a little, but they were clean and comfortable.

Liked: Great location, comfortable bed, quiet (except fairly early Friday night, see below) and just an awesome breakfast room, in general a great job keeping up a historic property. Really easy walks to the old town and some great, great museums (modern art gallery is AMAZING, Nobel Prize museum is oddly affecting, almost a nightclub on a Friday.) There's not a lot of vegan for breakfast, but there are at least avocados, oatmilk, and mushrooms, and of course various pickles and I ate the bread without checking details. Anyway, I loved it and hope to be back again next time I'm in town.
Disliked: I asked for no feather pillows, but there was one on the bed and one on a chair. I put them out of the room, and the another pillow it had sat on in the closet, and that worked well the first two nights, but the third night the bed had 4 pillows again and I got a sinus infection overnight so I think housekeeping must have taken the somewhat-feathered one out of the closet and put it back on the bed.Second, OK I live in Berlin but the techno coming out of the bar area when I arrived was so terrible, like early 1990s bad, so I never enjoyed the main function rooms except at breakfast. I like Berlin techno! The music didn't affect the room at all, EXCEPT around 10:30pm on Friday I could not only hear it but feel it vibrating my bed! But I was so tired I fell asleep and a few hours later it was back to completely silent. It would be nice if they put a little light by the tea facilities at breakfast so you could see when you'd filled your cup with hot water!

Liked: Good breakfast in a stunning room and location ideal (Stockholm is pretty easy to get around) but nice access to Old Town and the water.
Disliked: Quirky room!

Disliked: The restaurant staff a little more difficult than I expected when requesting certain tables and didn’t take a booking seriously. It never showed up on the computer. They had a power cut that took one day to resolve ☹️
