Disappointing
Liked: The hotel needs some updating, the elevator barely worked, the room was small, and the bed was hard smelled like mold. The only good thing about my stay at Bermuda Sands is located in front of the beach walking distance to some restaurant and local stores. Overall, it's not my cup of tea.

Mostly good
Liked: Likes- LOCATION, staff was very friendly, outside “water park” and later check out than normal. Dislike- the “indoor” pool isn’t really indoors. It’s outside with netting around it. If there are more than 5 people in there, it’s REALLY loud. We had a 2 bedroom room, 5 people and were only given one roll of toilet paper, 3 towels and 3 washcloths for 3 days, we had to request more of all the above. There was a bathing suit liner and a bug in our bathroom floor when we got there and a potent weed smell coming from the kitchen sink. The beds only have two pillows on each and the spring was coming out of one. While we were there, someone got stuck in the elevator. While walking directly in front of the hotel, someone yelled from their truck that they were going to take our child- kinda speaks for the environment. ( but the other side of the hotel is literally the beach so that’s great). Needs some updates.

We enjoyed our stay with...
Liked: The property is in an excellent location. You can’t get a better view or access to the beach. It has the appeal of being smaller and more like the Myrtle beach of days gone by. The property has pools and facilities that are engineered to vacationing with small children. They permit dogs- though I did not bring one, many guests did. There are elevators, luggage carts and multiple ice machines available. The ice machines are money and time savings when packing for the day on the beach. Our unit included a large refrigerator and microwave that were in excellent shape. The staff kept the pools and pool deck cleaned at the start of every morning and did an excellent job of keeping trash removed from receptacles around the property. Most importantly, I didn’t find any bugs when I searched the room with my black light.
Disliked: The property is dated which means that nothing is shiny and new. I do not mind this as I have nostalgia about old school Myrtle beach but if you are searching for pristine accommodations- it isn’t this location. The thing I disliked about this location is the smoking. The smell of tobacco and marijuana was everywhere and guests are NOT courteous about refraining from smoking in the elevators and everywhere on the property. The ground is littered with cigarette butts, so wear your shoes everywhere on the property. Water pressure is an issue in the rooms. The toilet barely flushed and the shower was the equivalent of bathing under a garden hose. As everywhere in Myrtle beach- parking is an issue.
