Exceptional

Liked: The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely. The location was good - 10-15 mins walk from both the station and the old city and near to a couple of nice restaurants. The breakfast was really delicious. The windows had blackout shutters and I could control the radiator settings so the room was lovely and warm.
Disliked: Everything was great. I would stay again.

Disliked: The room was not the one in the photo. The garden that i have seen in the photos was closed. If you are a smoker, you need to smoke outside in the street.

Cozy and welcoming

Liked: The communication with the owners and interaction with the staff has been exemplary - all questions answered, all requests taken care of, in a timely, professional (and friendly) fashion.I have to praise Alfredo (at the front desk) for going further than the extra mile: answering a lot of questions, providing tips and insights on all sorts of matters (maps, routes, prices, tourist attractions, eating spots) and always helping out with any special request - up to the last moment. All of these made me feel welcome, like staying at a friend's place - something I find quite rare in the hospitality business.The stay at the Bergland contributed greatly to my experience in Salzburg and I will most likely visit again.
Disliked: Not a deal breaker, but a pair of complimentary slippers would have been appreciated.

In a word, comfortable, but...

Liked: I could spend very comfortably by central heating.Tea-service is equipped.very clean, wide room
Disliked: a little far from the Central Station (20 minutes-walk).

Really enjoyed our experience here!

Liked: The location was great for us, about a 15 min walk into the old town. The hotel was clean and the room was a great size. Staff were polite and helpful and you can buy the Salzburg Card from reception. They have an honesty bar which was really convenient. We didn't have breakfast because we read it was overpriced for what it was but their was a fridge in the room so we bought some yoghurts etc. Really nice touch having the fluffy robes in the room.
Disliked: The parking was very expensive, €14 a night seems very steep to me.

Overall a decent stay

Liked: Short distance to the old town. We walked and enjoyed the areas around us. The room is clean, comfortable, and we have no issues with our stay.
Disliked: The small fridge in my room was not cold.no other issues.Breakfast may be on the high side in terms of price.
