Liked: Everything was great except for two issues, which unfortunately, greatly impacted what could have easily been a wonderful stay. 1) The person at check in was the most rude person I met during my entire month long visit to Norway. 2) The bedding was not comfortable. The boxspring mattress was worn out and sagging. The sheets (2!) covering the mattress were very oddly placed such that they came together at hip height across the center of the bed! Very difficult to explain as it makes no sense why a bed would be made like this. I remade the bed (using one sheet) in the normal fashion. The pillows and comforter were new, but such poor quality, that the former were too thick and lumpy and latter poorly regulated heat-too hot even with heat off in room.

Liked: Our room was really comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection was delicious and the staff were very attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I have already recommended the hotel to friends for their trip!

Very good

Liked: Great location, in the heart of Bryggen, close to the Funicular and everything you might want to see in Bergen, even on a short stay. Everything was clean and comfy and we had a lovely welcome from the staff. The breakfast was also fantastic and included in the price.
Disliked: The room was very small for a 4-star hotel, there wasn't really space to have the suitcase open without having to constantly step over it.
