Not really worth it

Liked: Beautiful Estate
Disliked: All the visuals are on the outside. Rooms (carpets especially) rather outdated and dirty. we were only provided with one towel.. and old stickers on phones for room service when there isn't any at this hotel. Requested a ground floor room because a slipped disc in my partners back (and we weren't sure if there were elevators) and we were given a room on the other side of reception - very far walk which is odd. Breakfast is not worth it. 'very good breakfast' - not at all. minimal continental with expensive extras for just a poached egg on sourdough. Think its rather over sold for the stay.

Good hotel, comfortable stay, lovely...

Liked: We stayed at the hotel to attend an event hosted by them. The room was a double twin and was really well laid out. It was a little cool and we could not get the heating to work despite following the instructions. The food was extremely expensive the the restaurant and it was exceptionally noisy in there perhaps down to the wooden floor - no carpet to cushion the noise - the restaurant was very busy but staff coped well, were very professional, pleasant and warm. The leisure area was mixed - the gym was small but well equipped and the pool area had a jacuzzi (which was closed without a sign explaining that/why), a sauna and steam room. The pool itself was quite large and had character but needs some TLC and some money spending on the area. It looked unloved and past its best.

Disliked: Too many people in the spa - regular gym members which detracts for hotel residents

Disliked: Being pestered constantly with e mails offering offering additional facilities We may have missed to tick a box against receiving them but we did not think soFor this reason we would probably not use this Hotel again

Liked: My room was cold, couldn’t get the heating on and bathroom radiator was cold, looked as though it was broken. Tried to change room but said were fullly booked.
