Made my experience visiting Catalina...

Liked: I really enjoyed the STAFF. The staff was VERY polite, professional, and helpful. I was VERY impressed. I also liked how clean the property was. Very well maintained.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Appreciated the housekeeper (s) keeping the room clean.
Disliked: It would have been helpful to have a waiter/waitress instead of having one person be the waiter/waitress and bartender.

It was OK. Two night...

Liked: Room was clean and neat. Coffee, tea and bottled water was available and free. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of decent pillows. Bathroom was new and modern but lacked shelving to accommodate putting on make up.
Disliked: Did not like the fact that blinds/drapes had to be closed for privacy. Did not like that there was no lobby or gathering area indoors. Weather was cold and we could not sit outside so that meant we had only the bedroom to relax in. Added to which, the Naughty Fox restaurant was closed up as we arrived there on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm. They said due to the weather. It was also closed all day Thursday, our second day. When we booked our stay we could have been informed of Thursday closure and we could have changed our dates.

Cozy, clean, quiet, romantic getaway,...

Liked: Cozy, clean, comfy, quiet room. Location was on the edge of the "busy" part of Avalon, away from the noise, but a shorter walk to Descanso Beach where we spent lots of time, and not far from the best restaurants like NDMK.The vibe was low-key, romantic.Staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant/bar in the hotel is awesome.The water in the harbor near the hotel was crystal clear blue -- I've never seen a harbor so clean.Most of all, we loved the price!
Disliked: Having a Chromecast option would be nice, but who needs television when you're on an island paradise?Mostly, I'm sorry we didn't get to stay more than 4 days. We'll be back!!!

Bad, bad rip-off

Disliked: Noisy, so expensive, room like in a hostel.The doors are window doors which are sliding with noise. You can hear other guests walking a bouve you, sliding the doors. No privacy.The rooms were so expensive, it's just a rip-off.Was very disappointed with this experience and also how Booking.com rated this hotel.

Exceptional

Liked: We loved the location, the room was clean, and the staff was amazing. We loved that they had bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels to use for free. They also had the convince of leaving your luggage early or having it send to the luggage hold place for free before leaving. Overall, great place to stay!
Disliked: The only thing I would change is stay upstairs because you can hear the upstairs neighbors steps.
