Inaccurate description on this site,...

Disliked: This booking.com description is totally inaccurate. I booked what was listed as an apartment/suite for 6 guests, but only at check-on did the hotel tell me they actually do not have any suites or apartments, it is just a King room with a kitchenette. Even though they had called me days earlier to confirm my stay, they didn't mention this then. At the point that I was checking in, they had no additional rooms available either. The reception desk told me they would see how many cots we could get, no guarantee. Maintenance was the only helpful part of this stay.

Disappointing

Disliked: I was anticipating an old country inn, with rustic furniture and atmosphere, instead we were placed in a 1980's condo type building. The Beekman arms and Delamater Inn was misrepresented through their advertising. I was not informed of the dozen or so buildings that make-up the property which you can end up staying in, when booking through a third party. I was looking forward to nice stay here, but instead was disappointed by the lack of transparency. When confronted about the various assortment of buildings at Beekman Arms & Delameter Inn, staff placed blame on the third party booking company. Beekman Arms should take responsibility for the lack of transparency afforded to their customers by requiring specific details about the rooms offered and the buildings within which they belong. I was happy to pay for an expensive room because I assumed I was paying for what was advertised.For an expensive 1 night stay, the complimentary continental breakfast was mediocre at best.

I liked the location of...

Liked: Liked that it was in the center of town.
Disliked: I was so disappointed in our room. #93 is in need of a makeover. The furniture was old and worn. The three lamps had three different bulbs which was odd. Stingy on the towels; i had called for extra towels and never got them. The ridiculous old tiny refrigerator was in the bathroom that was really odd and the “ice box” was completely encased in ice. One window had blinds and one did not. It was clean, but very old and tired looking.

Liked: The coffee at breakfast was pretty good. My daughters room in the Gables was nice. The bed was confortable where I stayed in the conference annex. The sherry and the wine (the latter for purchase) were a nice touch as was the gas fireplace.
Disliked: No gluten free anything at the continental breakfast. I didn’t see any lotion or soap in my room. My room was t in a historic building and had no real charm. We arrived at night and had to find our way to these two annexes in the dark. It was trial and error, with just a map from the front desk at the main Brennan Arms building.

Disappointed

Liked: It’s convenience to the village of Rhinebeck.
Disliked: It needs to be updated. No creamer with the coffee machine and a tiny tv.
