Liked: Location is excellent as it is in the center of the town. We love the history of it and the old style.
Disliked: I booked two rooms and they gave us one in the beginning, saying it was booking.com’s fault. The front desk staff was very unhelpful and uncaring. It took us an hour to figure things out without any support from them.

This was an excellent getaway...

Liked: Delightful old-fashioned hotel and spacious bedroom in the Delamater Arms
Disliked: Our reservation had not been recorded although it was confirmed by Booking.com.Fortunately we were able to get a room on arrival!

Exceptional

Everything was otherwise pleasant.

Liked: Breakfast was fine as was the location.
Disliked: I asked for a handicapped room and instead had 5 stairs to get inside and instead of walk-in shower the shower was in the bathtub. ⚠️ hazardous. Hard to walk with a walker on the stone walks and it was too dark at night.

New Years eve with friends.

Liked: Large comfortable room with lots of charm. Easy walkable location. Close to all amenities.

Great place if you’re into...

Liked: The charm was off the charts. Excellent continental breakfast. The stone hearth was very warm and cozy.
Disliked: The room was on the small side (but so were people in 1750!).

Liked: It was clean and the front desk receptionist was friendly.
Disliked: It was clean but the little things like how the blinds on the doors didn’t fully cover the window on the door put a cramp on things; feeling like you’re exposed when you’re sitting in bed is not a recipe for relaxation. The coffee maker only had one vile ( k cup) of tea. I’m a tea drinker and it had three coffees and only one tea. Also I found it bizarre when we were trying to find the reception/check in building we called three times and no one answered the phone listed on Booking.com or Google maps.
