Well appointed, comfy and welcoming.

Liked: The room was beautifully decorated and cosy. To be able to have a pint and a burger on site after a long drive, was just what I needed.
Disliked: There was a distinct fly problem down in the pub and dinning room. I would have thought a few electronic fly zappers are needed.

Disliked: Having been asked to complete check-in details on line before arrival in which I specified that I wouldn't be able to arrive before 9pm, I was called en route to check my arrival time and made to feel uncomfortable for arriving when I had already said I would.

Enjoyable but could have been...

Liked: Lovely building with character and charm and not too far from home
Disliked: Some of the staff let this hotel down. We have stayed here twice now and the front of house who has ‘welcomed’ us both times has the personality of a wet mop. Also gave no information of timings for breakfast, or what time kitchen shut at night. We only just made it in time to get dinner and had to ask about breakfast. Such a shame as the hotel is lovely, just needs better front of house.
