Liked: The apartment concept was not for the average person's eye. You need to see the art to appreciate it. The art concept is great. I actually love how the owner turned this old place into something interesting. I am a solo female traveller and I don't usually mind booking cheap or old places but my deal breaker is to always have my own toilet and bath as I don't like to share. For the price, I had a modern, spacious and clean bathroom which I think I got my money's worth.
Disliked: The property was a bit creepy to be honest, building was old, floors creaking and the apartment was hard to find - however take note that majority of buildings in Milan are like this and in Europe specifically they have the old school lifts. The owner did help me to locate the apartment as well but I didnt find him too friendly. However he is easily reachable, responds to messages straight away.The location was not too bad it was about 10min walk to central station and that area has lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. However, I didn't think it was safe for solo females to walk for 10min in this area at night time.

Liked: - Close to the central train station- Our room was spacious - I liked the design of the place
Disliked: - Was a little bit hard to find the acommodation and the check-in was a little problematic. The owner asked to send our ID earlier on the day of the check-in so the check-in itself would be easier, but didn’t send any kind of specifics how to find our room. On arrival, the doorman of the building told us (in Italian) where to go inside of that monumental building (like turn left or right when entering and from there which floor). When we arrived at the right floor, we couldn’t go in, there was no bell - only a proxy with numbers - and no one answered our knocking. Tried to call the owner (like 2-3 times), no one answered. Meanwhile I wrote him/her on whatsapp too (where we communicated that day), and a little bit later he/she finally sent us on whatsapp the code to the proxy, which numbered room is ours and what is the code for the keysafe of our room. I was a little annoyed, because why couldn’t he/she send these information earlier on whatsapp so we would’t have to wait at the stairwell and wouldn’t have to waste almost an hour to find our room?- The walls are a bit thin, so we heard the people next door.

Disliked: The room smells bad and it seems that the bed cover has not been replaced for quite some time. The instructions to open the room was not given in full detail and was only provided when I called their staff. The staff assisting me was not friendly rather he was annoyed when I cannot access the room.
