This former coaching inn is set in the heart of the New Forest and has wonderful views of wild heathland. Each room includes a flat-screen TV tea and coffee making facilities and private bathroom with complimentary Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. The bar and lounge offers cozy seating areas for guests to relax in. During the day the property serves afternoon tea and at night guests can enjoy pre and post dinner drinks along with a selection of light snacks. Located just next door is the sister pub The Drift inn where an a la carte style breakfast is served with a choice of cooked breakfasts including eggs from Claytons free range eggs breakfast sandwiches pancakes and a continental selection. Guests also have the option to dine at the pub for lunch or dinner. Close to the village of Beaulieu and in the New Forest National Park guests can also enjoy leisurely afternoon strolls where there is a chance to meet some of the famous New Forest ponies.

Awful night sleep

Liked: The room was so hot, no heating on. Ac supplied but had to have it in all night which gave disturbed sleep. Pool nice but not big enough or deep enough to swim. Bedding/towels basic

Disliked: I personally would have liked a shower in my onsuit

Liked: Bed was comfortable. Nice surroundings
Disliked: Room needed finishing, decor wise. Very dusty, didn't help my asthma. Not good value for money.

Lovely location & very comfy...

Liked: Lovely room. Very tidy. Extremely comfy bed!! Staff were polite. Great location!! The views are lovely. The pool was a nice touch we enjoyed it. Good sized room with ample storage space.
Disliked: The shower/hot water was none existent really, water was occasionally warm before fluctuating to cold. Staff were very polite however some things could have been better communicated such as swimming pool opening hours.

Disliked: -no shower curtain so whole floor was flooded -broken shower part so every time we moved the angle of the shower it sounded like and looked like it was going to snap -cracks in the bathroom wall-bulging laminate on worktop where water had draped in to bathroom
