Liked: We loved The Bear. It is the quintessential English pub that you’ve been looking for. Log fires going throughout the day, charming cozy furnishings and locals galore enjoying it as well. The village of Crickhowell is wonderful and vibrant with charming shops to explore. There are walks everywhere and the town is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Disliked: We loved everything.

Disliked: Shower tray plug blocked. Original room and bed very smallBreakfast not included in quoted price and nearly £20 pp for very average breakfast is way too expensive and poor VFM

Possible the nicest hotel pub...

Liked: It was brilliant. Log fires. Comfy. Brilliant staff who were on it and lovely. Completely dog friendly in that not only do they accept dogs but welcome them and don't push you to some awful area but in the heart of the place.

Liked: Hotel was great. nice warm welcome at reception/ Room was spacious and as expected. Breakfast service was really good
Disliked: The bed had a footboard. Not ideal as I couldnt really stretch out to sleep. The shower was over the bath which is never a good thing, in my book. Although the shower itself was pretty good.The restauarant was closed on a Monday and we were informed but eating in the bar was an odd affair. They must be doing something right as it was fully booked but it was a very chaotic place to be and not really relaxing. Food came quickly and was plentiful but almost too quickly and was of mediocre quality I am afraid
