We will definitely come back.
Liked: In late January and early February we stayed at Samuel Coucke's house in the heart of Bruges, close to the Cathedral of St Salvatore. Despite its central location, the house and garden were surprisingly peaceful. The 19th-century building, which combines a 16th-century coaching inn with a 17th-century manor house, is a magnificent example of neo-Gothic architecture. Samuel Coucke, who bought and renovated the house in 1855, created stained glass windows for markets all over the world.Huis 't Schaep is now a luxurious private guest house offering a unique combination of boutique hotel amenities and personal touches. A delicious breakfast was served in a beautiful room with access to the impressive terrace that was once Samuel Coucke's own studio and reception area. The location was perfect, with the main attractions, shops and restaurants just a few steps away. John, our host, is a beautiful soul who truly loves this house and its neo-Gothic style. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Bruges.
Disliked: Simply a great experience on a human and art level.

A fabulous 3 night stay...
Liked: We both had a fantastic 3 nights here, John and Michael are the perfect hosts and provided a level of service beyond anything we had experienced before. They made our stay very special and we couldn't fault anything at all.The location is perfect being a short stroll from the train station and on a lovely quiet street but it is also right near the centre so everywhere is easily walkable. Breakfast was a real treat and so plentiful that we always left completely satisfied and full up!Highly recommended if you are planning a trip to beautiful Bruges.
Disliked: Nothing, it was perfect.
