Liked: We’re pleased with the facilities. The check-in was a little rough because we got there around 11:30 p.m. and there was no concierge. The security guard tried to assist us but everything needed to be done through the machine.

What was there to like?
Liked: The hotel was soulless, attempting to be minimalist but not achieving that, only lack of items, like only one large towel for two occupants, the smallest rubbish bin imaginable, only two pillows provided. No bedhead, and the mattress, which was extremely hard was on top of a large piece of wood! The whole place was very run down, there were weeds growing up in the door entrance, very shabby looking unkempt. The breakfast option, charged at 11.50 was unimpressive. Scrambled eggs, undercooked, bacon uninspiring, fruit juice obviously watered down, the hot drink options were whatever the machine had. Receptionists were also breakfast monitors. It was not sufficient, but like everything else, no one was bothered. The reception staff barely noticed us walking either in or out. They were lukewarm in their dealings with us, and we found that they had very little English in their vocabulary, my French was what I learned at school 64 years ago, I at least tried with the language , but felt the reception staff were uninterested in speaking English Probably the worst was when we returned to the hotel, the day after arriving, and I had had my case, containing bank card, driving licence etc cards stolen. I was distraught by the event, and thought the reception staff would help. All I was told was that I needed to go to the police station. Now, I am 74, my husband 78, no transport in lyon, the victims of a robbery, and we got no help at all . The event was never mentioned, no follow up, no customer care of service. It was diabolical.
