Very well thought out B&B

Liked: The hosts were very helpful & informative. It was in a peaceful location but also walkable to the restaurants at night.
Disliked: We liked everything about the property.

Charming, well-located B&B

Liked: The Baywick is located in the charming historical district of Nelson and the guest room reflects that character. It is close to numerous restaurants, cafes and riverside walks. I especially liked the screens on windows and doors because I could then keep them open on a hot summer's day without filling the room with insects. I had to check out before 7:00 am, but Janet (the host) left me a delicious Continental breakfast (lovely fruit salad, yoghurt and croissant) in the room's fridge. She was also very helpful in recommending places for dinner.
Disliked: I had trouble finding the place. It's tucked in behind another house. Janet's instructions were clear (in retrospect), nevertheless I bumbled around a bit knocking on wrong doors. There is a sign saying Baywick Inn parking area and maybe if it also pointed to the Inn itself or there was a sign on the gate I wouldn't have got confused. This could be a problem unique to me!

Liked: The wonderful, friendly hosts went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, including preparing a lovely breakfast and takeaway lunch the night before, ready for my early morning departure. Highly recommended.
