Liked: Building is quite new (July 2024), but after spending the night and looking at the finishes of the various rooms it appears the workmanship of the hotel is quite cheaply done and destined to age quickly. Breakfast was acceptable at best, all these hotel breakfasts are the same, from the same suppliers; warmed up frozen and pre-cooked eggs and meats. Staff were friendly. It is remarkably close to West Edmonton Mall if that is your objective, literally across the street from an entrance.
Disliked: Parking! cramped area in front of the hotel is not functional for anything other than small vehicles and the access to its underground parking was a tight turn at best. Absolutely no beverage making options in the room - no coffee pot, keurig, or kettle nor the usually ubiquitous coffee/tea supplies. First time I have seen that in decades! There was a microwave, and upon asking a kettle was provided to us. As we were pulling a u-haul trailer I had asked the hotel through the ‘contact this hotel’ feature to ask about parking for our vehicle and the trailer and was told there was ‘ample space behind the hotel for your trailer’. However, when we got there and asked directions to this ample parking location we were directed to street parking over a block away. The desk clerk was adamant there was no parking behind the building accessible to guests. Interestingly enough our room looked over the back and there were empty ground level parking stalls all along the back of the hotel, but unclear access to it. There was a strobing overhead light bulb in the one room of the suite, and I hate sinks that sit above the counter which was what we had. They offer no space for toiletries nor was there much other space for it. I do not see why these trendy sinks even exist?
