The area that this hotel was in was sketchy and I will not go back to this town or hotel.

Liked: Room was semi-clean.
Disliked: I had to hold the handle down for 30 seconds to get the toilet to flush. The hot water in the shower never got above luke warm even though I had it turned to only hot water. The water pressure was awful. Also, we asked for late checkout, then had housekeeping still try to come in our room. Even after we told her we had late checkout, she told the front desk (who apparently don't communicate with each other) that we were still in the room and they kept calling us asking why we were still there.

Liked: There was no breakfast to speak of
Disliked: From check in the girl was rude and my reservation was for two rooms and she gave me one and then got put out when I corrected her and she refused to put the second room under my friends name and let him lay for his room. In my room there was some sort of cloth wrapped around the smoke detector

Sufficient enough if you're in...

Liked: The breakfast was adequate when it was available. It was closed one morning due to "plumbing issues". The location was convenient.
Disliked: The staff was practically nonverbal and unfriendly. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with inadequate coverings and, when we asked for additional pillows, we were told "no". The halls had not been cleaned, the grounds were littered with trash, and our room did not feel clean.

Great location if you need...

Liked: The somewhat industrial location worked well for our needs of being close to KUMC for a friend's kidney transplant, and also near Kansas City, MO for the Comic-Con. The room, generally, was clean and in good shape--excellent (almost too much) water pressure on the shower.
Disliked: There were several broken bottles of alcohol/liquor around the parking lot area, as well as a fair amount of trash/litter lying around, making my daughter feel unsafe when she checked in ahead of the rest of us the night before. The first room my daughter checked into smelled like cigarette smoke, but the staff was able to move her to another room a few doors down which was fine. The front desk staff (particularly the lady) were horrible at answering the phone when we called from the room. We didn't require room service during our 3 day stay, but we did set the trash outside the room the second day during the morning and it was still there that evening. We called and eventually got through to let the front desk staff know about the trash, but it was never picked up. Another room down the hall apparently experienced the same thing as their trash sat out in the hall all day and night. On a side note--when you did get through on the phone--the lady at the front would hang up on you as soon as you told her what the issue was you were calling about. Finally, the continental breakfast was cancelled the second morning due to a maintenance issue, and was very, very disappointing when we had it on the third morning (i.e. few options, eggs gone/burnt, only a few sausages left even though breakfast had only been open for about an hour.)

Bad

Liked: The Mexican restaurant next door
Disliked: The place was so dirty. The bathroom was not cleaned at all. There was an awful smell in the room. Not enough pillows or towels, I didn't try the breakfast was too scared after seeing how dirty the facility was. Will never stay here again.
