Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo East, Kalamazoo

My overall review of Baymont By Wyndham Kalamazoo East is poor. Don't waste your money; spend an extra 25 bucks and stay in something better.

Liked: Ease of checking in.
Disliked: The room was so small I felt as if I slept in a closet and the water from sink and shower came out brown. Also you could see the light of day under our rather crappy door. Only one bath towel per person and they were very thin. At 8:30 am there was nothing left to eat except the very small muffins that were dry.

One night stay; quiet; did not take advantage of free breakfast - slept in. Very accommodating with early check in and late check out. Staff very friendly!

Liked: Close to the venue and easy to get to off the highway.
Disliked: Bathroom not as clean as I would prefer. Vent needed cleaning and there was hair throughout.

Liked: Awesome pillows, mini fridge and microwave.
Disliked: The air/heater made a funny smell.

Disliked: The Jacuzzi didn't in the room didn't work. Jets didn't work. And when brought to front desk, they did nothing but tell us they would make a note. Did nothing to compensate us. We payed more for the Jacuzzi and specifically reserved a Jacuzzi room to enjoy the Jacuzzi. Our home recently burned to the ground and we lost pets to the fire also. So we were looking forward to enjoying and taking advantage of the Jacuzzi after spending approx 13hrs that day digging through a dirty pile of burnt rubble in the cold windy rainy weather.

Would not recommend this place!

Disliked: The sheets and towels had stains, the heater/aircondioner had white build up on the vents was afraid to turn on the heat! Baseboard was missing around the room, tub was rusty!

Liked: Nothing I left and ask for a refund I was told by the front lady at the desk that I would have to contact the manager or simply take another room. My room had multiple roaches and I no longer wanted to stay at that hotel.
Disliked: The rooms Were not comfy Had no thick bedding covers multiple roaches, and the hot tub was not clean I have pictures I would never ever go back to that hotel stay I demanded refund and I was told by the Person at the front desk that I would have to contact the property manager

Roaches, dirty, unsafe and very...

Disliked: Live cock roaches in the door panel of the microwave. Toilet seat came off in my hand. The couch was so stained it looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. The window on our third floor room was large but had no screen or lock making it extremely dangerous. I wasn't expecting much here but I did expect a clean and pest-free room. The manager is never available yet no one seems to know where he ("Eric") is nor when he will be available. There is no manager name listed at the front desk so I cannot verify his true name. Five days and three messages later, absolutely nothing has been done to address my concerns. Not even an apology as me, my child and cat left for an unknown destination at 5:30am the first following morning of our intended 3 night stay. We are transitioning between homes with limited funds and this was just an incredibly awful experience at the most inconvenient time and will likely ruin my loyalty to all Baymont by Wyndham locations in the future.

Liked: There was NOT one thing I could tell you that was good about the property.
Disliked: the conditions were horrific. The room was bare didn’t even have a remote for the television. We only had one washcloth, the dresser was broken. The door look like it had been hit by machetes. The clock was on the floor. There was no water cups in the room, no coffee pot in the room, no ice bucket in the room. No blow dryer., there was no chair at the desk or any other chair to sit on, there was no hangers to hang. My coat . I’m telling you this room had the bare minimum, I felt like I was staying in a one star hotel, instead of a Baymont! There was people outside, lottering around my husband, and I did not feel safe. When I was checking out, I brought this to the attention of the clerk and he said they were working on the property, but that does not explain why it was in such poor condition .We went down at 9 AM and there was no coffee. I have more pictures to upload, but it looks like it only allows four.
