Wonderful place to stay

Liked: Loved the location on Shelter Island (away from usual touristy crowds) , beautiful views of bay and downtown, marina views, small sandy beach area directly across the street from hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean, staff were always friendly and helpful. Loved everything.

Overall, I didn’t like it....

Liked: I liked the location, the spacious room, the large balcony, and the beautiful view from the balcony.
Disliked: The hotel is very old. They were renovating the entrance to the reception, so they opened another entrance to the hotel, which made it feel like entering through a window. There was no restaurant or café in the hotel, even though it was not small. The room had a musty smell, and the renovation was very outdated. There was no kettle in the room, but thanks to the administrator, they brought one after I requested it. There were no slippers in the room, so walking barefoot after a shower was not very pleasant. The shower was so low that a tall person would have to kneel to take a shower.
