Converted from an 18th-century farmstead Battlesteads is a stylish country inn with an 80-seat restaurant. It is set in beautiful countryside close to the Roman Wall. The traditional inn retains a Northumbrian country atmosphere with beamed ceilings and cozy wood burning stove. A light and airy conservatory opens onto a patio and walled garden. A most comfortable and enjoyable...

Liked: Both restaurants were warm and welcoming and the staff were excellent.Breakfasts and dinners were cooked and served to a very high standard.
Disliked: Absolutely no complaints.The room was delightful and even had fresh fruit on arrival.The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.
