Pleasant hotel and friendly staff...

Liked: We realized upon arrival that we actually stayed at this exact same hotel for 1 night over 10 years ago. So we knew the location was very good - close to the Marais and Bastille areas with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable enough and quiet even as it's on a smaller street and there are no loud places nearby. The staff were friendly and there is a nice lobby lounge area. There was a kettle to make tea and coffee and a small closet to hang clothing plus a few shelves.
Disliked: Upon entering the room it smelled a little musty and we needed to open the window. In the bathroom there was mold along the shower grout that really needs to be cleaned. The Superior room is still small with only one chair. And the safe was too small for a laptop and the WiFi not very fast. So in my opinion it felt expensive especially without breakfast included.

Nice location, value for money

Liked: Very friendly staff and very nice location, close to a few metro stations.We stayed twice during 10 days, and was very easy for us to decide to come back to the 2nd time.Breakfast is nice overall, but very basic.Fresh drinking water in the reception area.
Disliked: Not that it can be changed, but some rooms in the property are very small.Breakfast is quite basic.Sometimes drinking water in the reception area needs replacement or missing drinking glasses.

An enjoyable short stay in...

Liked: The hotel was situated in a side street and about a 10 minute walk from the Bastille where I found a nice a nice bar. On the same street and in the opposite direction was a large Carrefour supermarket. The hotel was close to the Metro. The man in the reception when I checked in was very helpful. The room had a high ceiling and was large enough for me. Didn't feel claustrophobic. I appreciated the kettle in the room. The bathroom with toilet and shower was modern. I could not hear anyone in the adjoining rooms, coridor or the lift being used even though I was close by.
Disliked: The hard mattress on the bed and the pillow made it difficult to get to sleep quickly.

Don't be seduced by the...

Liked: An awful place - overpriced, shitty mattress, everything is mounted at the wrong height. Shelves to bump your head on, a bathroom tighter than a hamster cage. The mattress is all shagged out. Dreadful feel.
Disliked: Just about everything about this dump. I booked for two nights and paid, but left after one night. It is just one of those rip-off Paris places. Not worth the effort. Perhaps the breakfast is great - but I left without talking the risk.

Superb

Liked: Very nice location and cleanliness of the hotel. Staff was friendly and room was nice.
Disliked: Breakfast restaurant is small and a bit crowded. Thoe elevator was next to my room and noisy in the morning.

Disliked: it was really expensive for the facilities,the lighting fixture broke and wasnt changed

Pleasant, helpful front of house...

Liked: Helpful front of house staff. Location reasonable and overall good for the price. Room was small but quiet as it overlooked the inner courtyard. Breakfast basic but ok.
Disliked: Quiet street but somewhat dirty and run down area. Not actually in the Marais but more Bastille. Room was small and over two levels so not great for elderly or people with mobility issues.
