Great location and clean room!

Liked: The location is great, free parking right beside, the place was very clean!
Disliked: The 2 single beds put together instead of a full queen as advertised. The bathroom doesn't have a door, so weird!

Tiny room and extraordinarily noisy...

Liked: Its location close to shops and restaurants and the lake front
Disliked: Very, very loud bar noise until 3am. Rooms very small not as clean as they could be and no door between bathroom and bed

Location great, facilities okay.

Liked: This place was extremely well-located within Taupo. Large car park just beside it and right in the midst of lots of good restaurants and a <2 minute walk to the lake. Staff friendly. Bed was comfy and appreciated the fan in the room.
Disliked: Room was not as clean as I would have expected. Also had to wait quite a long time to check in as they seemed to be short-staffed. I am quite glad I was in my own room as the shared facilities like the kitchen and hostel bathrooms looked very tired and untidy. No lift in the property and quite a lot of stairs to the top floor if you have heavy baggage. I think overall, this place needs a bit of a facelift.

Lot nicer than most reviews...

Liked: After reading a lot of negative reviews i was surprised how nice the place was, clean, friendly helpful staff, well stocked kitchen with pots pans plate microwave etc etc and wasn't that noisy 😀
Disliked: No the place but the lazy fcekers who didnt clean up after themselves when getting in late and having something to eat 🙈
