Liked: Upgrade to a beautiful room. Fabulous breakfast. Wonderful staff, especially Bronwen, who went out of her way to look after us.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was wonderful.

Not really what I was...

Liked: In my opinion not the 4 stars it claims. The fantastic building and situation are let down by several points. Sound proofing and light proofing, the rooms have no curtains (only blinds) so at night the security lights are very bright in the rooms and in the morning you are woken by the sun. Heater has no thermostat so it was either too hot or too cold. No bed side light. No telephone and food stops at 2030. All that would be ok but they charged me 6.18 GBP for a small bowl of crisps!!!

Disliked: The bar decor was a shame, far too bright, not cosy, Netflix/ new TV would help

Secret hotel in country surroundings...

Liked: Breakfast was great, excellent selection of everything including milk options for cereals and hot drinks….served till 10am on Sunday and relaxing, love the idea you can come and go, do have coffee and croissant then walk the grounds and come back for more!
Disliked: A pool!!!

Lovely night getaway in old...

Liked: Decor of hotel and room. Friendly staff, great breakfast.
Disliked: Price of food. Room was too warm, even once radiator off and window open.
