Liked: Owner met us at the door with a smile and a welcome. Beautifully kept and decorated old home. So unique. Breakfast was great. Felt like we were staying with friends.

Liked: Barclay House is an exceptional place to stay.We entered the gate and were greeted by amazing Hallowe'en decorations.The house is certainly more than ready for ghosts and goblins.Dennis,our host, was so personable and gracious,not to mention warm and funny.We felt we had known him forever.There was another guest at breakfast,which was delicious,by the way,and the four of us had a wonderul time sharing travels and future plans.The suite we stayed in was beautifully decorated..the photo is on the description of Barclay House.The bed was so comfortable.There was a huge wall tv and a fireplace in the bedroom.We will surely return the next time we go to Vancouver.Thank you,Dennis for such a lovely,memorable time!Barclay House felt like more than just a pleasant overnight stay..it felt like home.We highly recommend staying here!

Overall a fantastic stay and...

Liked: Lovely comfortable room and the owners were really friendly and helpful (even let me leave my luggage at the B&B on my last day as I wasn't flying until the evening and wanted to explore). Fantastic location within walking distance of so many facilities and attractions. Everything was clean, comfortable and functional.
Disliked: The squeaky hinges and moving door knobs (though I've stayed in many other B&Bs with the same issues) and as I wake up early I found it a bit difficult to keep really quiet so as not to annoy other guests but did my best. My room was a bit odd, in that the bathroom and toilet where outside the main bedroom up a little corridor (it was still private as had a main door that lead into the corridor but it had to remain open as it was the fire exit) and it did make me feel a bit awkward as anyone could have come in as I was walking to the toilet etc.
