Decent experience, but could've been...

Liked: I liked the Reforma neighborhood, the hotel's architecture.
Disliked: Staff could've been friendlier, less intrusive, more accommodating, and more proficient in English. For example, on one occasion I was really sick with stomach issues ("Moctezuma's Revenge") and I needed a doctor to come visit my room, but reception gave him a really hard time checking in and at first wouldn't allow him to visit my room to give me a check-up. The room's mattresses and pillows were somewhat comfortable. Controlling the temperature in the room wasn't so easy as even after I adjusted the temperature it didn't seem to change much. The Reforma neighborhood had streets closed during the president's inauguration so I couldn't go anywhere during my first day there. The hotel's main lobby entrance was closed off for much of my stay there so guests had to go through the valet/car parking area to enter, which was odd. This may have been due to construction.

Great place to stay in...

Liked: Great place to stay in CDMX. Location is very good. The Barcelo has multiple options for delicious food during your stay.

Liked: Great Location..25min walk to RomaCasa. About a 20min walk to Cafe Nin in Juarez. Staff is friendly. Good restaurant in the hotel. Room was clean. Washroom could have been cleaner.
Disliked: Washroom shower had very poor drainage and kept flooding to the floor. Had let the front-desk know, however they didn't really fix the problem. Had to take 1 minute showers due to this issue. Also a giant hairball was found stuck to the toilet the day I checked in. Checked in around 11pm and the key cards they gave me did not work on elevator nor room...that was sorted the following day instead of right away.
