Liked: This is a great place to stay in Royston welcoming and comfortable excellent staff friendly and helpful .The cleanliness of the rooms and restaurant or one of the best I've stayed in can definitely recommend.

Overpriced and underwhelming

Disliked: Bathroom was fully open to bedroom with large opening. Only a thin gauze curtain no door. Security light in bedroom made sleep difficult. Shower mouldy Staff were unprofessional - eating cereal while talking to us. Fire alarm went off at night. Went downstairs to check- possibly staff sitting drinking. No one obviously around to tell us it was a false alarm. Information states will get a thermos of fresh milk for room. When asked we were given milk in a tea cup with cling film over that was then left in the room the following day. Breakfast experience was just weird. No one greeted us or showed us to a table. Poor choice of cereals- Rice Krispies , bran flakes and weetabix. No milk. No juice offered. No toast offered. Just all felt a bit slapdash.

Liked: The room was large and nicely decorated. Bed very comfortable. Lovely fluffy towels and dressing gowns. Able to control temperature with radiator valves.Helped to our room with luggage.
