Liked: The location was excellent for our needs. The food was good, particularly the coffee👌
Disliked: The shower was way too hot the first time I used it so we had to just have a flannel wash. I mentioned this to reception and it was fixed quickly.

Disliked: We were expecting to have use of the spa as promoted by Booking.com. Indeed Booking.com state 'Most popular facilities: Indoor swimming pool, spa and wellness centre.' However, upon arrival the indoor swimming pool and wellness centre were not available to us unless we paid an extra £20 per person per day. This was not made clear when making the booking.

Disliked: Bath was broken and toilet flush not working properly. Mould in bathroom. Spoke to receptionist about this, and only got 20% off our meal which came to £14 compensation. Not good enough and not the standard we have received in our previous stays! On more minor notes, no bottled water in the room, no plugs near the bed and as our room was right above the conservatory, light shone in our room all of the night despite curtains being closed!

Staff were great - room...

Liked: Staff were fantastic. Henry on the front desk was an absolute star and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Disliked: Dreadful view from Room 12. Overlooking a skip and a wasteland of chairs that had been thrown out from the restaurant/function room. Wasn’t too fussed, but then we were woken up at 5:30am by a dustbin lorry RIGHT below our window doing the glass bottle collection. Was horrifically loud and each time it tipped the glass bottles in, it sounded like a bomb going off. Must have happened 3 or 4 times, and by the end of it we were awake and never got back to sleep. Not a great way to end our stay.
