Expectations were met based on...

Liked: Location was great in Marathon, just before the 7 mile bridge. WIFI worked great for all devices. Beautiful outdoor area with hammocks, chairs and games next to an outdoor bar right on the water at marina.
Disliked: Bed sheets were rough and scratchy, no daily house keeping, dinning area for breakfast was exceptionally small for the number of guests staying and food went fast.

Liked: Beautiful waterside location with great place to watch sun go down.
Disliked: Breakfast could have had a bit more variety

Liked: Clean, close to marina, it had a nice place to gather and watch the sunset by the marina, bike rental was a plus. Close to turtle hospital, snorkeling and fishing charters, and local restaurants.
Disliked: Housekeeping didn’t come for a couple of days so I had to ask for towels at the front desk. Breakfast was only 0800-1000. Depending on staff- some staff would stock the breakfast and replenish items, others would not. ( sometimes eggs were gone by 0830 , and there were still people coming in for breakfast.). Some staff would properly replenish as needed .

Not worth the money we...

Liked: The grounds were not clean. The pool was closed and we were not notified til we got there. We were told to go to Fairfield Inn for pool facilities. We go with our cooler and we were told that we could not take it in. We had toPurchase their food and drinks.No iron or ironing board, no luggage carts or rack for our suit cases.Breakfast was from 8 to 10 am and one day they ran out of eggs and juice and milk by 9am. The staff was helpful and courteous but the facility has a way to go to charge the amount we were charged. Not a good bang for our buck.

Not worth the money

Liked: Arrival day I got a fraud alert from my Credit Card about a charge. I called Banana Bay, they said that they charge a deposit to hold the rooms( I booked 3 rooms for three couples)otherwise the rooms become available even though check in is at 4! One of the deposits didn’t go through( we were in Key Largo) so we had to stop what we were doing in Key Largo to make sure they didn’t release the third room. We get there and they it was taken care of and we didn’t have to make a deposit! The blessing was at least we were able to check in 2 hrs early. The pool was being renovated so we couldn’t use that. They said we could go to Fairfield Inn. They had a sign posted at the desk but failed to let us know via email or text! The grounds were in disarray. Lots of construction.The rooms were nice. No iron or ironing board, no luggage rack no luggage carts.Breakfast was from 8 to 10 am. One of the days they had run out of eggs, juice milk, etc by 9 am! I was told that they had received their products yet.The staff lady( very sweet and embarrassed) informed her manager.Lo and behold the products arrived 20 minutes later.I feel that we should be compensated for no pool, lack of certain standard room amenities. Oh, by the way, the refrigerator in the room is TINY!!! You could only put 4 drink cans and maybe a sandwich. No microwave.What we were charged for our 3 night stay was NOT worth the price.The staff were nice. The rooms were nice. The grounds were very messy , dirty and lots of leaves everywhere. Disarray.
