Disliked: This is a lovely country house with a charming gift shop- but the staff lacked the Irish warmth we are accustomed to all over Ireland - there seemed to be an air of “ we’re trying to be Posh”!!You’re a country property with chickens and pigs- not the Savoy in London!!

Disliked: There should be an option for guests that arrive late that do not want a five course dinner , to be offered a sandwich menu, this option is for sure lacking and needs to be considered, some guests have other events booked and desire just a simple sandwich , this is not an option at Ballymaloe House

Liked: The setting was stunning. The menu and food were exceptional. Staff were welcoming. Our accommodations were spacious. The history of the building and grounds is fascinating. The story of the Allen family and their descendants is truly inspirational.
