Hotel Description
A 15-minute stroll from the shores of the famous loch sits the Innkeeper's Lodge Loch Lomond. It has existed as Balloch House Hotel for over a hundred years and couples rustic charm with modern en suite accommodations. The Innkeeper's Lodge Loch Lomond serves hearty meals in the Balloch House pub which has fireplaces and a beamed ceiling. Each bright and neutrally decorated room comes with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities some even with views over the loch or the River Leven. 7 local golf courses 2 of which located right on the loch mean fanatics are spoiled for choice. Hiking in the Lomond and Trossachs National Park is on the doorstep and the Balloch Castle Country Park is less than a 5-minute walk away. Glasgow city center is 30 minutes away by car and Edinburgh Airport lies just over an hour's drive.

Out short break at the...

Liked: This is approximately our 6th stay at Balloch. Mostly at Balloch House when accommodation was available to suit our timing. We like the atmosphere, easy going, good food (& beer), comfortable & the local scenery & walks suit us nicely too.
Disliked: There wasn't anything we didn't like during our short break.

Overall really enjoyed our weekend

Liked: Location was great for walks, being next to the water and boats was lovely, hotel car park was great and free, we were able to stroll round to Loch Lomond Shores shopping centre. Breakfast was really good, no food buffet, waitress takes your order, full English, poached eggs, pancakes etc delicious. Room was comfortable, clean and as I expected. Staff were all excellent and friendly.
Disliked: The reason I booked in the first place was the hotel description stated it was a no dog hotel, while I don’t have problem with animals in general, I do have allergies to them, when we first walked into the pub to check in there were dogs sitting at a few peoples feet, the smell for me was unpleasant and made me wheeze, there was even a dog station next to the check in desk to feed and water dogs, I would imagine as there is lots of walks around they are catering for dog walkers, which I understand but I didn’t expect it, thankfully the room didn’t seem to have had any dogs in it.

Great location to visit loch...

Liked: Amazing location, parking on site. Pub downstairs did great food, lovely atmosphere.
Disliked: Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but okay for 2 night stay

Nice hotel , spacious rooms,...

Liked: Bedroom was nice, spacious (we took the family room), shower was good. Plenty of towels. Bar and dining area cosy. Plenty of car parking. Overall a nice small hotel
