Liked: Great location on the beach and walking distance from great shops, food, and ocean experiences.
Disliked: The parking situation was absurd. The hotel does not have its own parking so you have to either do valet which was robbery with how expensive it was. More expensive than doing day passes. The hotel did not care about their guests or they would be trying to strike deals with the city OR have cheaper valet options.

Exceptional

Liked: We were there to celebrate memories of growing up in Balboa. My sister is quite ill and it was my Christmas gift to her. 1st room heater did not work and they gave us extra blankets. The next morning front desk staff, led by Laura, upgraded us to a beautiful room with working heat!!! So appreciated this!! My sister has to rest/sleep between short outings. Overall we had a wonderful memory to last a life time. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all. Kathy Dells

Awful, I would never consider...

Liked: There was nothing that I liked.
Disliked: Badly stained towels and wash cloths (they looked like cleaning rags actually), sticky floor in the bathroom, badly chipped paint throughout, light bulbs burned out, extremely dim lighting such that I had to use a flashlight to see in my suitcase, window shades broken, closet door that wouldn’t close properly, extremely dreary room and appearance overall.

Overpriced, rundown property. Terrible amenities...

Disliked: Stay away. Property is very rundown. The room and bathroom were very small - zero counter space. The property pool is tiny. The hot tub was littered and unusable. After checking out I checked my credit card activity and discovered I was erroneously double charged; when I called they looked at my booking and acknowledge I was double charged and said they would credit my card back, but gave zero apologize - terrible customer service.

Disliked: Firstly it was very expensive paid around £305 just for one night.as soon as you enter the room, was smelling damp and toilet was smelling as well. the AC wasn't working. when we went to the reception and we told her that i have asthma and damp is not good for me she said we cant change the room and they don't have a mechanic at the building so cant repair the AC. so overall we are not happy at all. they should have refund even half the money if not full. the only good thing was the location.
