Affordable, clean, comfortable

Liked: Room was clean, bathroom very clean, bed was comfortable, easy check in.
Disliked: The location wasn't ideal for us as we were there for a concert at Eden Park, (took over an hour to get back to room after concert by train) but we chose Bakers lodge as it was the most affordable option at the time. So this is not a negative comment about location generally, it was just the only thing that I didn't like, but not a fault of the accommodation, just due to our circumstances

Liked: Was lovely and spacious and clean. Very comfortable

Value for money.

Liked: The location was fair for the purposes of our stay in Auckland.
Disliked: There was no covered parking or secure parking.

Superb

Liked: Great value for money, clean rooms, excellent service. Amazing bathroom and nice, quiet location.
Disliked: Personally I didn't find the bed comfortable, however my partner slept fine.

Nice stay at Bakers Lodge

Liked: Very good sized room, large bathroom. Close to supermarket and shops which was great, all within walking distance.
Disliked: Bathroom was very large, lots of space allocated to it but not very efficient use of that space. Didn't detract from the staying experience, just a personal critique. Surrounding area was quite busy and crowded but not a big deal.

Clean central location

Liked: Location to local shops including a WoolworthsKMart and Chemist Warehouse were walking distance. Auckland was an easy 10 minute drive. Our flight was delayed and then cancelled making arrival at the property many hours later, it was very easy rearrange an after hours arrival with reception from the airport back in Australia. Face to face dealings the following morning were good also and we didn't see any of the staff for the duration of our stay.
Disliked: On the morning that housekeeping came through we returned to the accommodation to a very strong bleach smell that lingered for hours. Across the lane was a club of some description and a gym, the music from there was destinct and ongoing till late and although it really didn't really bother us, I could imagine it possibly bothering other guests.

Disliked: the manager was there so rude and unprofessional and they don't know how to deal with customer.

Exceptional

Get in early to get...

Liked: It was clean and tidy and a great price. Liked the location, easy walk to kmart and the train station.
Disliked: We had a ground floor room which is right on the street. The man at reception did say it was first in first served and the top floor was full. There are 3 apartment on street. The restaurant/bar had its music blaring until 12.30ish, then there was people upstairs thumping around until 1.30, not the motels fault but wasn't a great sleep due to that.
