Liked: Room, location really nice and the outlook was lovely.
Disliked: Didn’t feel very welcome at breakfast and felt continental breakfast a bit mean spirited. Bed and breakfast seemed a bit of an add on that hadn’t been thought out enough to make guests feel welcome, also need to invest in some tea pots as not very relaxing having to get attention for a second cup of tea!

Disappointing

Liked: The staff were pre occupied with an event and were rude to guests who weren’t involved. Information provided by the hotel before the stay was incorrect, yet the hotel took no responsibility and blamed the guests. Disappointing as it’s not a cheap place to stay
Disliked: The staff made us feel uncomfortable to use the public areas, we felt like weren’t welcome in the hotel and treated like we had done something wrong. At one point a member of staff pointed us out to other staff which was obvious and seeing as they were the ones who weren’t able to provide a service mentioned in the pre arrival information, they made us as guests feel out of place.

Wonderful rooms, lovely friendly staff...

Liked: Only marked down due to no evening meal available and woken with a keep fit class outside, with loud dance music blarring. Seeing as everyone has to be checked out by 11am maybe the keep fit could be starting at 10 am as not to disturb the guests. Breakfast was also half portion of what it was last year

Liked: Room was lovely and well equipped in a great location. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were very helpful and friendly
Disliked: We couldn't order any food in the evening as it was low season so went out to a local restaurant which was amazing

Good location, poor sound proffing...

Liked: We liked the quiet location with the convenience of Henley quite close by. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.
Disliked: The room was comfortable, bathroom fine, chalet style building separate from club house. But it had been split down the middle into 2 rooms, so a little on the small side but okay. Tea and coffee maker included and appreciated. The BIG problem was the soundproofing or should I say lack of it! We could clearly hear the couple next door - in the upper age range like ourselves so not rowdy youngsters. I could hear the guy snoring and coughing during the night. Thank goodness for my trusted moulded earplugs!Breakfast was a bit slow and the staff served the table next to su before us despite us arriving first.My wife's Scrambled eggs and bean arrived cold . Sen them back and the replacement was good. My cooked breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant but suspect too many not communicating with each otherso well on this occasion!
