Liked: choice of breakfast on a pre order the night before, breakfast was cooked fresh the following morning and was perfectly presented and hot, a help yourself juice and coffee machine along with cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit. no faults with anything. accommodation was clean and comfortable with toiletries provided along with cotton buds, cotton wool balls and wipes and tissues. in room kettle with both ordinary and decaf tea and coffee. would absolutely recommend. a bonus was being on the ground floor and seeing the birds and squirrels at the feeders.

Barely slept because of the...

Liked: The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfy and there was a good mirror for makeup. There are nice touches like bottled water and good tea/coffee selection in room. The shower had good pressure and was easy to get to preferred temperature.Breakfast was nice and had all the things you would expect. The hotel is conveniently located to be able to walk into the centre and I had no trouble getting a parking space.
Disliked: Room 4 is at the ground level, at the front of the property. It was like trying to sleep on the hard shoulder of a motorway. I barely got any sleep as cars and heavy goods vehicles passing up to at least 2am and started again at 5am latest. Sadly this made what could have been a comfortable room into a pretty unbearable place to stay. Strongly recommend you think about better sound protection for your guests in this room.My room was also cold, but I was able to use the extra blanket and oil fired heater. The radiators didn't appear to be working maybe.I found getting in an out of my room difficult as needed both hands to twist lock and turn handle at same time, then shove the door open before it closed on me. It was awkward getting your belongings in and out.When I arrived after 5pm for check-in it was a great first impression honestly, I was waiting at the door for 15-20mins ringing the bell and trying the phone number.

Liked: Avonpark was delightful, just everything about it, proximity to the town centre, the room was beautiful & comfortable, absolutely spotless everywhere, Breakfast menu was extensive, so much choice. The hosts were very friendly & helpful.would most definitely stay again.iwould recommend avonpark too anyone.
Disliked: Leaving!!!!!!

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Good quality and decent portions. However some items on the counter were out of date (sweetners)

Liked: Really friendly and welcoming owners, room was warm and clean, the bathroom was immaculate. breakfast was delicious. Couldn't fault it.Lots of facilities you'd expect from a hotel, we had to remind ourselves this was a guest house. We'll definitely stay here again. Thank you for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
