Liked: Proximity to shops. Quiet neighbourhood.
Disliked: It was old - tired. Smelt musty. The amenities were lacking - e.g. TV was tiny - no USB ports.

Liked: Exemplary service as always. The Avonmore could teach other establishments about how to treat guests. Always an excellent experience.

Lovely spot, great accommodation

Liked: Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful park across the road and the accommodation being a lovely historic building was an added bonus. Nice kitchenette with microwave was also appreciated. Close to tram and nice 20 min walk to Coogee beach with shops and eateries on the way.
Disliked: Room was a little warm. Had a fan but in hotter weather air conditioning may be nice.

Beautiful Hotel, Friendly staff, great...

Liked: The hotel was beautiful and maintained well. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was massive and the bed very comfortable. We paid extra to have an air conditioner in our room which worked when we left the room, but didnt feel like it was working the next morning (we forgot to mention this on check out - but am sure that the hotel staff would have been onto it straight away). We usually stay in the city, but as we were going to Randwick Races, we decided to stay somewhere closer with some friends also staying in the same hotel. We looked at other hotels within the area as well and thought this was the best of a bad bunch (from the reviews that people had written about them all) but this hotel was wonderful and some of the reviews didnt do it justice at all. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.
Disliked: Trying to find a carpark on a weekday in Randwick that isn't timed or in a school zone, after 9am was horrendous. We were lucky to find one eventually that was within walking distance of the hotel and free.

Awesome Architectural building.

Liked: Architecture and the buildings history were interesting. Bathroom was clean and spacious.Staff on check in and out were friendly and helpful.Easy to get to and close to the bus stops and eateries. Close to Coogee too.
Disliked: There was no air conditioning and only 1 noisy fan. No food options at all. Beds were too soft. Every time my partner moved so did I.
