Liked: Chris gave us a very friendly welcome and introduction to the area with some helpful recommendations. Room was spacious with a nice selection of tea/coffees/biscuits and was very clean. Breakfast was great - very well organised and tasty! Would definitely recommend :)

Superb stay with a warm,...

Liked: This property was superb!! Amy was the perfect hostess, a font of knowledge about the local area and the room was perfect. Perfectly located for the local amenities and yet super quiet. We found parking everyday whilst there and the walk to the town was literally a minute. The room was spotless and breakfast superb!! Couldn’t ask for a better stay anywhere thank you so much Amy and Chris!! ☺️

Liked: Amy & Chris are excellent hosts: Very pleasant to talk to, and very knowledgeable about the Lake District - their suggestions regarding local sightseeing were very helpful for us. And they serve a superb breakfast. Our room, though compact, was well appointed, and had more amenities than we had expected.
Disliked: The heated towel rack innthe bathroom was quite a BIG POSITIVE (so it should not be here in this column). But during our visit, it was rainy and cloudy for 2-3 days, and we found that the hested towel rack was probably on a timer switch, coming on for about an hour twice a day. Had a switch been provided for the guests to turn it on when needed, it would have been the ICING ON THE CAKE
